In order to use the BATT Bot with your Binance account, you need to enter your Binance API keys. The API keys allow the bot to interact with your Binance account, fetch market data, and execute trades on your behalf.

Step 1: Generate Binance API Keys

Before entering your API keys into the BATT Bot, you need to generate them from your Binance account:

  1. Log in to your Binance account at https://www.binance.com.
  2. Go to the API Management page:
    • Hover over your profile icon at the top-right corner of the screen.
    • Click on API Management from the dropdown menu.
  3. On the API Management page, click Create API.
  4. Name your API key (e.g., “BATT Bot”).
  5. Click Create API and follow the security verification process.
  6. Once the API is created, you will see your API Key and Secret Key. Copy these keys as you will need them in the next steps.

Step 2: Enter API Keys into the BATT Bot

Once you have your Binance API Key and Secret Key, follow these steps to enter them into the BATT Bot:

  1. Open the BATT Bot on your computer.
  2. From the main dashboard, click on the “Settings” button in the top-right corner to open the configuration page.
  3. On the Configuration Page, locate the fields for Binance API Key and Binance Secret Key.
  4. Paste the API Key in the “Binance API Key” field and the Secret Key in the “Binance Secret Key” field.
  5. After entering both keys, click Save to store your keys in the bot’s configuration.

Step 3: Verify the API Connection

Once you have entered your API keys, it’s important to verify that the bot is properly connected to your Binance account:

  1. The BATT Bot will automatically attempt to verify the API keys by checking your Binance account information.
  2. If the keys are correct and the connection is successful, the bot will confirm that the connection is live.
  3. If there is an issue with the keys (e.g., if they are incorrect or if permissions are not granted), the bot will notify you with an error message.

Important Notes:

  • Permissions: When generating your API keys, make sure to enable “Futures” permissions if you plan to trade futures with the bot. Also, disable the “Withdraw” permission for security reasons.
  • Security: Keep your API keys secure and do not share them with anyone. If you suspect that your API keys have been compromised, immediately delete the keys from the Binance API Management page and generate new ones.
